Breakdown of cost plus billing

Software companies that help small and medium businesses run their business by processing their payments, often require all breakdowns of costs that the card brands are charging them.

They in turn connect their ERPs to the big payment processors that have direct connection with the card brands.

And in order so that these companies can charge their customers (or small and medium businesses) accurately, a proper breakdown needs to be made available to the software companies. It is also called 'cost plus billing'.

At times, these data points needs to be collected from different systems/places. And at times not all information is available. As such, here is example of one such brainstorming activity that resulted into the table attached here - with some 'yet to be found' information.

These data sets are in turn provided in reports to the software companies.
Some cost elements differ at a per transaction level - few examples could be contactless from the chip based transactions. Rest of them can be same rate across all transactions.
